All in a weeks work

Just returned home from Poland, supporting our client across 4 separate locations was an interesting challenge, here is a little about our week...

Friday: Flew into Warsaw airport with 3 suitcases full of keyboards !! Straight to the Intercontinental to help setup judging rooms and then over to the Opera House to install Network Infrastructure.

Saturday: Continued at the Opera House with the network, distributing connectivity to the back office crew.

Sunday: Continued the Experience centre build, finishing off pods once the builders had completed. At midday the rehearsals began for the CMO meeting with presentations and demos. CMO meeting ran from 16:00 for a few hours and once the room was clear the remaining seating was removed to extend the experience centre, more Xboxes and more laptop pods.

Monday: Cabling out a few surprise rooms, and activating a pool of machines ready for use, also received a revised layout for the showcase which will now be spread over two floors just to keep us on our toes!

Tuesday: Cabled in the major links for the Opera House Showcase and then over to the PKin to breakdown the showcase ready for transfer over to the Opera House.

Wednesday: With the help of our local crew we installed all 100 booths for the showcase, ensuring that all the transferred PCs were allocated to the correct booths.

Thursday: A few surprise printer and network requests and last minute checks to the ShowcaseShow, finished around 21:00 so we began breakdown boxing up all the Showcase booth 17” TFTs + collecting in all the PCs. Breakdown complete by 1:30am, time for a few beers and a lie in!!

Friday: Into the Opera House at 11:00 to remove the Internet Servers and then back to the Novotel to finish off breakdown. 18:30 meet in Hotel bar for pre-dinner drinks!!!!! And to say farewell to our local Polish crew.

Saturday: Depart Warsaw airport 11:55, arrive home in time for tea and medals.

The event ran according to plan with a very happy client!
