Cannes Lions

Microsoft Advertising marked its ninth year as a sponsor of the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival, a global gathering of advertising, communications, and creative professionals.

Here is a small insight into the five days in Cannes...

Sunday -  Flew into Nice airport and it was raining! made me feel at home. Met Eric at the Microsoft Experience Centre and began setup for the TED show happening the following day.
 
Monday -  Rehearsals and speaker support take most of the morning, once completed the TED show began, very successful and continuing into the evening. When TED was complete and the room was clear the stand builders arrived and setup for the Experience centre began. We made it to bed if a little weary by 2:30am.

Tuesday -  We continued the Experience centre build and finishing off all the pods. At midday the rehearsals began for the CMO meeting with presentations and demos. The CMO meeting ran from 4pm into the evening, when the meeting had finished and delegates had left, the remaining seating was removed to extend the experience centre -  more Xboxes and more laptop pods installed.
 
Wednesday - We go live! First day the Experience centre was open for tours and delegates, which was very busy, we did however manage to get a walk by the harbour.

Thursday - Our final day and the end of the event, The Experience centre was open for tours and delegates... then home for tea and medals!

Microsoft Advertising was a complete success and an event I was pleased to be part of.
