Here we are for the next four days at the Sofitel Hotel at Terminal 5 Heathrow London although to be honest we could be in any hotel in the world as all you get to see is the conference rooms, bedroom and bar :)
Over the past day and a half we have set up 30 meeting rooms with both wired and wireless Internet access. In the process we have deployed over 500 network cables and 30 wireless access points. This is an annual event that we support for Microsoft, it is the first year that it has been at the Sofitel. So far so good!
The hotel has a great network infrastructure that we have utilised. They have allowed us to install our own server and network switches allowing us to manage and monitor the network during the event. Long days ahead as the technical helpdesk is open from 7.30am – 9.00pm every day.
